Straws Point Residence

A former monoculture of lawn and sparse foundation plantings was transformed to create seamless transitions for outdoor living spaces, and swaths of perennial plantings define the outdoor living spaces while providing a transition from the new hardscape to the edges of the property and remaining lawn space. The effect of the design is a lush, livable outdoor space to enjoy the beauty of the seacoast, with attention to detail in each material choice and superior workmanship.  This project possesses the  attributes of a wonderful client, a dramatic seacoast site, and an excellent design and construction team.

Importantly, the design team closely collaborated on aspects of the building development at the interface of the landscape and the architecture, and consequently the interior spaces flow into the landscape seamlessly.
