Ruth Blay Mural - Installed

In 1768, Ruth Blay, a 31-year-old teacher and seamstress from South Hampton, was tried, convicted, and publicly hanged for concealing the body of her illegitimate baby.
Ruth Blay was the last woman executed in NH.
Based on the book by Carolyn Marvin, "The Hanging of Ruth Blay"
